CapCut × EAST2046 University of Cambridge Creator Lab is a one-day, in-person lab. You respond to a real brief from a partner charity or social enterprise, then leave them with work they can reuse.
Choose one track.
Track 01 — Campaign video
Make a 60–180 second campaign video in CapCut. Submit the video and a reusable production workflow. Document your sources, any AI use, and your fact-checks.
Track 02 — Interactive web page
Build one HTML page for the partner’s brief. Include at least two types of interaction. Submit the page and a reusable workflow, and document your sources and AI use.
Projects are judged on the output and the workflow. Each track has two winners: a £150 Amazon gift card and a £100 Amazon gift card. CapCut production tokens are provided for participants. Places are limited, and attendance is in person.

Requirements
Submit one project, in one track, by 5:00 PM BST on 22 October 2026.
Everyone submits three things:
1. The finished piece
Track 01: a campaign video of 60–180 seconds, plus a link that opens the video.
Track 02: one HTML page with at least two types of interaction, plus a link to the page. If the page cannot be hosted, upload a ZIP and say so in the project-link field.
2. A reusable workflow
Upload a PDF or ZIP that a charity or social enterprise can follow without you in the room. Name the tools, steps, and files they need.
3. Sources, AI use, and fact-checks
Name the brief you responded to. List your sources and any AI tools you used. For a video, include the fact-checks. If you used no AI, write “No AI used.”

Judging Criteria
-
Response to the brief
The project answers the partner charity or social enterprise brief. The audience, message, and ask are clear. A video stays within 60–180 seconds. A web page is one HTML page and includes at least two types of interaction. -
Quality of the output
The piece is finished and holds together. A video is watchable, paced, and understandable without a presenter. A page loads, reads clearly, and its interactions work. Spelling, credits, and basic accessibility do not get in the way. -
Reusable workflow
The workflow is specific enough for the partner to repeat without the team in the room. It names the tools, the steps, the files, and the decisions. A partner could follow it to make another version of the work. -
Sources, AI use, and fact-checks
Sources are listed, and claims a partner might publish have been checked. AI tools are named, or the submission says no AI was used. The disclosure is specific enough for a partner to trust and reuse the piece. -
Value to the partner
The charity or social enterprise could use this. The tone fits the organisation, the call to action is usable, and the team has not invented a partnership, a quote, or a result. The submission leaves the partner with something they can publish or adapt.
